When you address the golf ball and can see the target in the center of the putting mirror your putter has to be aligned.

We recommend using the putting aid from about 5 to 6 feet, this is so the target is not too small in the mirror and the putt is still hard enough to make.

It is easy to change our putting aid for a left hander, you just pull out the bar and refit it in the other side.
Try aiming at a nearer target say 3 feet away and get the feel for seeing it in the mirror.
